Work-life balance is all the buzz these days, especially in the self-employed community. We’re all chasing the ideal of separating work from non-work and sometimes it’s simply because that’s what we’re told to do.
Balance? How about a blend. Is that such a bad thing?
Here’s me, working on a writing project while canning homemade spaghetti sauce. I say if it works, don’t worry about it. Here’s what others are saying:
- Grace Bonney was going crazy keeping up with an amazingly beautiful blog. Until she got sick.
- I love TED talks. Here Stefan Sagmeister talks about taking time off, like a sabbatical every seven years.
- Is work-life balance a myth? This consultant thinks so.
- Apparently we can’t do it all. I’m learning that. I now team with talented developers to create super websites.
Are you self-employed? How do you handle work-life balance?
