April Inspiration

dogwood

If you’re talking color in Wisconsin, the month of April is a bit earthy (gray, to be specific). But if you look carefully, there’s more to be found.

I’m blessed to live near an abandoned railroad line. Now renovated as the Glacial Drumlin State Trail, it’s lined with a wonderful representation of Wisconsin vegetation. Lots to photograph, great color scheme ideas—a morning spent walking the trail can be very inspirational.

Here, as I practice shooting a shallow depth of field, I’ve captured some beautiful dogwood that’s still red from the winter and pussy willows just starting their bloom.

MY GUIDE

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life (Psalm 143:8).
