A Well-Planned Woman

Carol's Christmas Cookie ListWe can still write about Christmas and the New Year, can’t we? Epiphany isn’t until January 6, so I’m thinking, yes, anything holiday-ish is still quite timely. And since I’m just now returning from a full ten days of barely opening my computer, I have a seasonal image or two to put to good use. Like this one of my mom’s Christmas cookie list.

So, my mom was an over-achiever who didn’t pursue anything unless she could do it to her fullest. Just so you know, 1981 was not a banner baking year over any other. She did this every year and I have her lists to prove it. She was a very well-planned woman.

As I settle in to 2014, I’m motivated by this organization and list-making (and by the way, after all the Christmas goodies I’ve eaten, the word settle is definitely an intended pun). How can I apply such planning to my aspirations for the new year? How can I help my clients achieve their marketing and communication goals?

Even though I’ve been lounging around for the past ten days, I managed to avoid a sugar-induced coma. In the week between Christmas and New Year’s, I did my annual reflecting-of-the-old-year and projecting-for the-new-year. I’ve been reading, brainstorming and coming up with great ideas to take my business and yours to a higher level.

Happy New Year! I’m excited for 2014!
